The Camera Vista is not your ordinary security camera. It is specifically designed for shelf or fridge mounting in supermarkets, providing real-time data on out-of-stock items, planogram non-compliance, foreign product contamination, and pricing inaccuracies. The development of the Camera Vista was a collaborative effort between Tobia Repossi and Nicolò Castagnini. The project took six months from brief to distribution, with the design being developed in Italy, the PCB design in India, and production and assembly taking place in China. The design process for the Camera Vista was driven by extensive research and innovation. Utilizing Onshape, a cloud-based CAD modeling platform, the team streamlined communication and minimized the need for external emails and messages. This efficient approach allowed for quick development and seamless collaboration.

The compact size of the device required careful consideration to fit the PCB and two cameras within the casing. Additionally, the interior set of adjustable gears enables the rotation of the camera angle during assembly, accommodating different positioning requirements. These design solutions not only saved production and stock costs but also enhanced the overall functionality of the Camera Vista.
